the shape of things to come
wow. you know, just when i think that lost cannot possibly throw another shocker my way, it does. but i’m getting ahead of myself. let’s start from the beginning:
the jack/kate flirt scene. i have to admit, it was a little cheesy. but since i am a jater, i have to love it. too bad the whole jack is sick thing kinda threw it off. and usually, jack is lookin pretty good, but when kate said, you don’t look too hot, i totally had to agree. we all know he doesn’t die though, since we have the flashforward pill popping jack to look forward to (but not really).
so… jack is totally onto daniel farraday’s sneaky endeavors. and who knew that bernard had mad morse code skills? could you see daniel actually wetting himself when he got found out? not really, but i absolutely loved it. what a weirdo.
speaking of weird, did i totally miss when the doctor died on the ship? i could have. but then, the ship said the doctor was fine? i’m totally lost here, but only this show and make you completely forget about the mysterious body that washed up on shore by going to the next scene.
which brings us to alex and her new found freighter enemies. seriously, how did they get to the island? did i miss something? smart girl putting in the warning code for dad… and then… well… you know. i can’t even say it. this part totally disturbed me. i really like alex, and all the more solidifies one more reason i can’t stand ben. (and when claire’s house got bombed the thought did go through my head that she was actually dead and that’s why kate has aaron. then i realized that she still is in a couple more episodes according to imdb… yes i look at imdb all the time thankyouverymuch.)
but i have to say this: what is up with sawyer being all worried about everyone and taking care of everybody? when did this happen? i have to admit, i kinda like it, but at the same time it doesn’t really go. i guess we’ll see if locke harms “one hair on hurley’s curly head.”
the smoke monster: i didn’t realize it was ben’s little killer pet? this was the most we’ve actually seen how huge this smoke monster is… we usually just hear it but it graced us with it’s entire presence the other night.
now onto the flash forwards… ben centric, obviously. but when i saw sayid say to the camera he just wanted to bury his wife, i was confused to say the least. then he said nadia to ben, and i got happy and sad for him all at the same time. he found her, but he lost her for good. and ben is still the little con man… did you see that smirk after sayid said “who’s next?” bleh.
the last scene questions: what exactly where the rules that evidently widmore broke? why can’t ben just kill widmore? why does widmore think that ben will never find penny? and what about widmore owning the island? what was that about? perhaps that’s what started this whole thing. widmore sent dharma there, ben got rid of dharma by killing everyone, and widmore is mad about it, therefore wants ben?
anyway, next week’s episode looks good as well… until next time, stay lost.
