this morning my mom brought me over my old friend, teddy ruxpin, who’s been hiding in a closet at my parents house for the last… um… 20 years or so. i was super excited to see my long lost pal, only to find out that he has… let’s just say… run out of stories to tell. sad. since levi loves to read (as you have already seen in the video in my last post), i just know he would love teddy ruxpin.
so… i looked on amazon and found that they make a new version of teddy ruxpin. complete with an mp3 player, so no more trying to rewind those cassettes by hand whenever they would get caught in all the gears. on amazon, they had this commercial. i thought it was perfect.
i’m super tempted to buy it for levi… maybe i’ll hold out and get it for him for christmas this year.

Wow! Teddy Ruxpin! My girls had one when they were little. Sadly, my older one was kinda creeped out by him. Thanks for sharing the picture.

Aw…I had a Teddy Ruxpin too!! I loved him!! However, the bottom piece of his mouth fell off of mine and now he looks a little creepy! And you’re right, those tapes were a pain and did get all caught up in the gears and stuff. I had no idea that that there was a new version oh him out there. I may have to check into that myself for Ian. He would love it! MP3 will be much better too than those tapes. Thanks for letting me take a trip down memory lane!
